Yes, Lizzy!

It looks like you will have to access the M&F Trainer through muscleandfitness.com. Hopefully, we can include a direct link from the M&F HERS site in the future.

In the meantime, you should check it out!! Smile

Anne-Marie, my boss is actually responsible for creating the M&F Trainer. I would LOVE to get specific feedback from you as to what you found annoying. We are constantly working to improve the site so the more specific you can be, the more helpful it will be to us.

Feel free to either PM me with your responses or list them here.

Thank you!! Smile

Helen

Ok, so here are my beefs... in the order I notice them!
1. In order to learn what a specific prescribed exercise is, I have to pay $5/month
2. the My Nutrition part - This big section on progressive weight loss assuming I lose x per week etc... but all the meal plans are based on men. The recommendation was for me to eat about 1700 cals (100 above my estimated BMR, which seemed a bit low but then again my bf% is still high - deep sigh), but all the meal plans are for 2500+ cals assuming a lower weight. Hard to figure out what I'm supposed to do, unless I know my food-macros.... which if I did I wouldn't be looking for nutrition info lol!!!
3. this might be more about my interests than the program, but I thought there were a lot of exercises per day and that the reps were all a bit high... maybe that was because the program thinks I am not trying to build muscle and only burn fat? But I can't check that as I can't find where to change my goal.
4. I really don't like supplements or ads for them. I know some are useful and of good quality, but I know a lot of them aren't.

The MyCalendar is an interesting idea. I also really like that the Mary Lado workout was an option.

I hope this helps! I do LOVE to give my opinion on things!!!

Hi Helen, I checked out the M&F trainer too.....I think it's a great concept!
The workout prescribed for me seemed a little long, but I like the idea that there were other workouts you could choose from too. I didn't see any cardio recommendations though. And yes, some of the moves I wasn't familliar with I'd have to pay to get clarification. The nutrition section was a little too vague for me......I think the question about goal weight should really be revised to goal body fat percentage.....as I am about 17.6% (on bad days, lol!) and weigh in at 122lbs and a goal of mine could be to be 13%b.f and still weigh in at 122-123lbs.....see what I mean? So the meal plan came out at maintenance values for me which would have me spinning my wheels so to speak.

I do like the concept, however I am recieving a much more personal approach to my goals with the trainer I am using now.

hi!! i did also log on to the trainer...here are my thoughts:
- i selected a muscle growth plan, and it gives me reps between 10 and 30 (a lot of 30's) - in my opinion i should do higher weight with lower reps for muscle growth, am i wrong with that??
- it suggested a 5 split...thats way too much for me, i get 3, max. 4 weight sessions in - it would be great if you could select how many days you want to lift
- nutrition: there's something wrong with the bodyfat, i put in 23, and it says 0.23% in the calculation, and if i put 2300, it says 23%, but with minus values for protein etc?!
the idea is great, if you could change some things i'm sure a lot of people here on the boards would use it!!!
